Message from the Police Chief

On behalf of the Manitoba First Nation Police Service, I am pleased and honored to bring greetings from our organization, leaders and staff. The dedicated and hard working members of the MFNPS and its leadership strive each day to engage our communities and work for those we serve. As a community based organization we are motivated to meet the demands of policing with a multi-faceted approach that includes education, enforcement and crime prevention.

Each First Nation within our service area has its own unique culture and traditions and we look to provide a professional and understanding police service that is involved and engaged at all levels. The Manitoba First Nations Police Service was developed and built for us by us and is an outstanding example of community based policing.

As Chief of Police for the Manitoba First Nations Police Service, I look forward to moving the organization into the future, expanding our footprint and building a service that meets the needs of member First Nations.

Regards,

D.A. (Doug) Palson
Chief of Police
Manitoba First Nations Police Service
