Chief of Police Doug Palson proudly served to advance Indigenous-led, community-based policing. First, as Chief with the Dakota Ojibway Police Service for seven years and, as Chief with the Manitoba First Nations Police Service in November 2021.


Chief Palson's sudden passing in January 2025 has been deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the priviledge of knowing him. His kindness and passionate leadership will never be forgotten.
