Methamphetamine seized after search warrant

Fisher River Cree Nation

Members of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) Fisher River Cree Nation detachment, with assistance from the MFNPS Crime Reduction Enforcement Unit (CREU), executed a search warrant on a residence in Fisher River Cree Nation. 


A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of over 600 grams of methamphetamine, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking. 


Police arrested Chelsea Traverse (37) of Fisher River Cree Nation who was remanded into custody on the following charges:


  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine 
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime 
  • Fail to comply with an undertaking
